When disaster strikes water is probably the most necessary resource needed for survival. www.ready.gov suggests only three ways to treat suspicious water when there are no other reliable water sources. These are boiling, chlorination and distillation. While these methods will kill harmful microbes and distillation will remove other contaminants, in a disaster situation it may be unlikely that the chemicals and equipment necessary will be available to carry out these processes. As part of a disaster preparedness program CleanBlu® portable and containerized wastewater treatment systems are deployed in direct response to emergency situations to process unsafe polluted water and provide safe water to those in need.
